Is your soul downcast?

Why, my soul, are you downcast?
    Why so disturbed within me?
Put your hope in God,
    for I will yet praise him,
    my Savior and my God.

(For my friend John: :I will praise you with the lyre) 😂 Sorry, I had to.

Psalm 44: What an interesting Psalm.   As I read it I try to stay in the context that Israel was constantly in a cycle. But impossible not to see modern application!

Psalm 84: a gittith.  Honestly, I am not 100% sure what it looks like but I think something like this:

Psalm 85- I read this several times this morning.  In my head I was trying to pull out the stanza of the four I would highlight. ❤️

Psalm 87:  This Psalm gets my heart ready for what is coming up:  The Temple will be built.  The Ark of the Covenant will settle in its rightful dwelling soon.  Mt. Zion.
