Good Morning! This past month, I have received very kind emails asking if I would post a “read-through blog.” After praying about it, I have decided not to, but I am reading through it. My goal is to find at least one word, verse, or passage that appears new to me each day and dig into it. I started last night, and I already called a friend and said, “why did God write….”.

The schedule I am using is the same as in 2021. If you would like a chronological schedule, click here. I pray some of you will read through it again this year with an accountability partner.

12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.

  1. Dear Patricia, Your 2021 postings were the first time that I read through the entire Bible and I thank you for such an enormous commitment. I copied all of your handouts and keep them available because they provided the necessary connections to generate the flow of the theme. The reading was a real blessing for me. Your inclusion of family life was met by my prayers for broken backs and college life and your insights into living around Catholics.   4. I can not tell you how many times I have gone back to the 2021 read through with you! I have and will continue to use it as a reference. I checked back in with you to see what you are doing this year- I am so glad you are going to be doing something intentional with the Word this year-I will be following along!- and thank you for all you do!

    What a pleasant surprise to receive your email today. I’m rereading your 2020 “reading the bible” blog again this year. I’m so thankful I kept your emails. I appreciate the time and effort you spent making 2020 a wonderful year for me to read the bible in a new way.

  6. Thank you, Patricia! It’s so good to hear from you. I did two reading/video/podcast plans last year (The Bible Recap and it’s daily devotional, The God Shot, and The Bible Project)–all on the Bible app/Spotify–as well as finishing the yearly plan with you the year before after Karen Snyder recommended you. Your plan began my love of starting my day with the Bible every morning! THANK YOU! I am already reading through again this year (Digging Deeper Daily on the Bible app) and have found a podcast (Bible Books in 30 Minutes) to listen to. Happy New Year to you and yours.   7. Patricia, Norma and I started a FB Group, and we are using your blog to do a Read Through with the members. We are so very thankful for this Read Through we did with you in 2021.
