Psalm 102, 103, 104

Psalm 102:

In the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth,
    and the heavens are the work of your hands.
 They will perish, but you remain;
    they will all wear out like a garment.
Like clothing you will change them
    and they will be discarded.
 But you remain the same,
    and your years will never end.
 The children of your servants will live in your presence;
    their descendants will be established before you.”

  1. For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
    12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

  2. Tough assignment. So much praise and it feels so good to read it when life is heavy!

    I love 104. All of it. But I love the creation story. It’s so beautiful, every single time I read it.

    Another one I sat on for a minute- 103:18: “This will be written for a later generation, and a newly created people will praise the Lord.” This was written for me to read so I can use it as I praise the Lord.

  3. 2Bless the Lord, O my soul,
    and forget not all his benefits,
    3 who forgives all your iniquity,
    who heals all your diseases,
    4 who redeems your life from the pit,
    who crowns you with steadfast love and mercy

  4. So much, this is a chapter I memorized years ago. Forget not his benefits….He has not punished me according to what I deserve…he has removed my sin as far as the east is from the west. His love and mercy are steadfast. In every season, there are verses that are like treatments to a wounded soul, or praises for a scar that’s been healed.

  5. 8 The Lord is merciful and loving, slow to become angry and full of constant LOVE.
    This is powerful. Life lesson Love one another. Focus on the LOVE

  6. “As a father has compassion on his children, so the Lord has compassion on those who fear Him. For He knows what we are made of, remembering that we are dust.”

  7. he does not treat us as our sins deserve
    or repay us according to our iniquities.
    11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth,
    so great is his love for those who fear him;
    12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

    Goodness how gracious is this Father of ours…not giving us what we deserve and removing it so far out…oh to be so gracious to others.
